Carmelita Miller is an experienced leader in energy justice who most recently served as Senior Director of Climate Equity for The Greenlining Institute, where she worked since 2013. She helped transform advocacy and policies in energy by prioritizing communities that are the most impacted by climate change but have the least access to the benefits of clean energy. In particular, throughout her career, Miller has integrated energy into health and economic development strategies as a solution to address racial disparities in climate responses. Carmelita was born in the Philippines before immigrating to the San Francisco Bay Area and holds a J.D. from UC Hastings College of the Law.
