Just End Gas Network

Formed in March 2021, the purpose of the Just End Gas (JEG) Network is to resource environmental justice and consumer advocates in their work with the goal of ensuring that equity and consumer protection are central in gas wind-down proceedings and decisions.
In pursuit of this mission, Common Spark Consulting, the JEG facilitator, organizes and facilitates monthly meetings that incorporate training and featured speakers from a variety of organizations engaged in gas transitions. JEG members also use this time to use discussions as member-wide workshops, discussing priorities, strategies and best practices to address their respective public utility commissions and navigate tensions that arise in their advocacy work. 

Outside of monthly meetings, CSC staff offer tailored technical assistance support to environmental justice JEG members who are engaged in gas-related, and more broadly climate-related, campaigns and initiatives at the local and state level. Additionally, CSC develops JEG-exclusive resources through comprehensive reports, fact sheets, presentations, and state gas proceedings and policy tracking.
