Aligning Public Housing Policy to Decarbonization Goals
The Public Health Law Center (PHLC), asked Common Spark to facilitate a stakeholder convening to build shared understanding and develop consensus on a citizen’s petition to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development calling for equitable decarbonization, weatherization, and phase out of gas appliances in public residences. The convening was designed for participants to build knowledge on both public housing and decarbonization and share their expertise to better craft the petition’s strategies to phase out fossil fuels, exploring the implications of utility costs, supporting residents, and communicating the health impacts.
